Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is The Numbness Of My Right Leg And Foot Post Spinal Surgery A Serious Issue?
I had lower back surgery a year ago. They fused L 4-5. I had a coughing fit and ended up in the ER with severe right sided sciatic pain and muscle spasms. My right leg and foot are weak and numb. I need a cane to walk. The MRI showed everything looked ok. I go for a steroid injection in 3 days. Should I be worried ? Will I be able to feel my right foot ever again?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, right now the pain may not be due to surgery done or anything to take with this, and this is nothing to worry, because such pain responds well to NSAID, if the leg is affected with neurological disease then physiotherapy is the best option can be tried hope this information helps.
