Is The BHP Treatment For Reducing The Prostrate Size Advisable?

i m under treatment for BHP with very successful therapy for reducing prostate size from 144 cm3 to 94.6 cm3 with a Rx. over a six month period. I m uncertain what Rx to re-order, urologist office doesn t take direct calls (Mt. Sinai) can t get ahold of urologist and the PBM unilaterally alters Rx and uncertain which pharma was the effective. Avodart, perhaps?

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can fully understand your concern.
I must advise you to continue the treatment, but, also keep in mind that present medical treatment, is probably not the right treatment.
Avodart will not help much.
As your prostate gland is significantly enlarged, you should consider change of the medical treatment. You should get certain tests like, Hb,creatinine, sugar, PSA, urine routine and culture, and an ultrasound scan of abdomen. You can send a copy of the reports here, in my name, for an expert opinion.
