Is Taking Turmeric Supplements Advisable While On Tamoxifen?
My partner is a breast cancer survivor and is taking Tamoxifen . She is suffering from depression and we have recently found out that taking turmeric can help depression and also relieve pain as well . Is there any evidence that taking a supplement such as turmeric has any adverse effects on the efficacy of Tamoxifen

Turmeric has many medicinal properties; some are unexplored.Turmeric has been proved useful in Alzheimer's disease.Most likely turmeric will help but at least it will not cause any harm and it is a common cooking ingredient in Indian subcontinent.One can safely take innocuous turmeric with Tamoxifen. However, you can consult your treating oncologist, before doing so.
