Is Taking Invokana Safe While Taking Clarithromycin For Sinus Infection?
I was prescribed clarithromycin 500 mg for an ear infection and sinus infection. I have wet macular degeneration and wonder if the possibility of jaundice in the eyes would effect it? Also am on invokana which can cause uti and yeast infections, so am I destined to get a yeast infection with this drug? Sortof scared to take this after reading the info and reviews.
Hi, i do care for your concern. The drug invokana is a SGLT2 receptor antagonist and cause significant glucose through urine. It is basically this high sugar excretion cause yeast infection, personal hygiene, using antiseptic containing soap will help in this condition. However if you wish to change to other drugs consult with your physician before doing so. research source with use of antibiotic with invokana is very limited. but can be taken. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
