Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

Any form of brace that prevents the spine from bending forwards and maintains extension of your spine is needed for you. This sort spinal hyperextension brace is essential inorder to prevent further collapse of your fractured vertebral body that may compromise spinal canal at times.

Keep continuing the other medications as prescribed by your treating doctor. You should wear the brace for atleast 8-10 weeks.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
