Is Taking Coricidin While On Azithromycin And Prednisone Safe?

I m currently prescribed azithromycin and prednisone for bronchitis and upper respiratory infection. I was directed to take 5 tablets every day for 5 days. It s the 4th day, and I don t feel better than the first day. I was told Coricidin would help. Is it safe to take one hours after taking my prescribed medication?

Hello and thank you for your question. There are several types of Coricidin but most of them contain guaifenesin and dextromethorphan. These are a mucolytic (thins mucus) and a cough suppressant and they are save to take with azithromicin and prednisone.
