Is Swollen Finger An Indication Of Gangrene?

Hi I cut my finger with a knife a few days ago just cleaned it with water an a napkin . Cut wasn t too deep but my thumb is a little swollen still skin closed around it but it is a little green I m a little scared and worried should i go see a doctor . I m worried it may be gangrene or infected :/

Apparently your wound is infected and you probably have cellulitis. Gangerne is macro cellular death of the tissues and the affected part looks green- black in color and would be cold.You probably have some tissue that has been gangrened. You'll have to go visit a doctor and be on a course of antibiotics and get that gangrened tissue debrided. Also you should get a tetanus shot if you haven't gotten it in the recent past 3-4 years.
