Yes it is possible.
*is the pain better?
*had the swelling gone down?
*do you have full range of motion of wrist and fingers?
If yes to any or all of the above, it is unlikely for there to be a
fracture.
I recommend :
- an orthopedic consult at the earliest
-a repeat x-ray if indicated
-elevate your wrist above heart level to prevent swelling and fluid collection
-local application of anti inflammatory gels and anti inflammatory meds.
-
physiotherapy if there is restricted movements (after your doctor approves it)
-an
MRI may be required if
soft tissue damage is suspected
-apply warm compress followed by anti inflammatory gels applied in gentle circular motion. Apply ice after an hour. Do this thrice a day.
If your hand changes colour or feels numb or if there is sudden worsening of pain, please visit the ER right away.
