Is Swelling In The Knee Post An Injury A Concern?

Okay, I m pretty sure I have injured my knee, and...think I know what I was doing when it happened. But...it s painful. I was ...I know I shouldn t have...doing our hardwood floors...on hands/knees. I use knee pads...but they were coming loose...and I kept going...limited time...house guests coming... Anyway..that was last...Tuesday. My knee is swollen and feels warm...stiff when going up stairs. I m healthy... Fitbit says I average 14,000 steps per day... But...I m 60... 30 lbs over fighting weight at 35. I only take levothyroxine...and various vitamins etc. so...think this goes away on its own...or call Doctor? Any suggestions on home remedies? I not averse to Dr. But...

Ok. Do you have pain? Can you completely extend or bend the knee? Can you inward or outward rotate it ? Better see an othoped.
