Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Testosterone injection in an oily base is an irritant and it has to be given by a deep intramuscular injection. If the drug is not injected deeply it will form a swelling around the site of injection. It will be painful for a few day but will get absorbed soon. Keep a watch on it to see if it becomes red or hot as these signs are indicative of active inflammation/ infection. You may take an anti inflammatory drug for pain relief.
Take care
