Hi,

I understand your concern regarding your problem and also the confusion due to two different advises. Firstly since it is a first instance of headache, you need to to observed more to decide and make sure if you need to be undergoing surgery.

Secondly, since you have been given medication, just try those medications and carry on with your daily chores. If at all your problem persists, you can get a follow up with the doctor who gave you medications. I personally feel that surgery might not be necessary, moreover sinusitis surgeries are not that successful in curing completely.

Since I have not seen your SCAN reports I cannot comment on why the doctor advised you for a surgery. You can always wait and see, but take your medications as prescribed. You will be fine. Do not worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Suhas Chauhan
