Is Surgery Necessary For A Slap Tear Of The Labrum?

I have a slap tear of the labrum..I also have type 2 acromion..I have minimal subacromion subdeltoid bursitis..I also have Acromioclavicular joint degeneration and an interstitial tear of the distal fibers of the insertional fibers of the supraspinatus tendon. These are my recent MRI results and i haven t been to the orthopedic doctor yet.. Is there a good chance that I will need surgery?

Hello,

Yes, you need surgery. Without this you will continue to have pain and further degeneration of joint.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
