Is Stinging Pain Throughout The Body A Symptom Of Peripheral Neuropathy?
I have been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy without diabetes. I have never read of anyone stinging all over vs feet and hands. I literally sting over my entire body including my face and scalp. It is much better first thing in the morning and gradually gets worse as the day wears on. Is this a symptom of neuropathy or something else? Thanks very much BH
Hello dear welcome to HealthcareMagic Regarding your experience with generalized itching sensations following a diagnosed peripheral neuropathy I am suggesting strongly that you have a condition called hypersensitivity skin reaction possibly from the following
Allergic substance Extreme cold overdose of drugs Liver disease from bilirubin Pollens from flowers Insect bite
In view of this please do the following test
IgE electrophoresis Heaf test Blood culture Urine toxicology
Meanwhile please see a dermatologist specialist with the results and for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription
I hope this helps Regards
