Is Sore Throat, Dry And Swollen Glands In Neck Concerning?

I had a sore throat a week ago, it lasted a couple of days, then became a sensation like I have a splinter in the back of my throat. My throat is continually dry and I have swollen glands on my neck that are tender to the touch. Should I visit my doctor?

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having sore throat with dry and swollen glands in the neck.
The swollen glands in the neck indicate swollen lymph nodes secondary to infection in the throat.
This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. You need to visit your doctor for examination and prescription of drugs.

Hope this information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
