Is Something To Be Worried If My Kid Ingested Small Amount Of Kerosene?

3 yr old daughter ingested small amount of kerosene. immediatly called 911 and the ambulance took us to the hospital where they observed her and discharged her after no signs of breathing issues. She did vomit but has been resting since. the doctor at the ER says he is not concerned with the vomiting and believes she will be fine. But of course I went online and read that damage could occur weeks after and in some cases death up to 30 days after being ingested. is she out of the woods or will is she still at risk over the next month or so?

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

The most common complication of kerosene is aspiration Pneumonia and to kerosene entering the airways. As she was perfectly normal at time of discharge there is no cause to be concerned about.
Internet is ocean of information with multiple conflicting information being available. It is always better to rely on your Physicians for information.
