Is Slow Heart Rate Upon Suffering From Nausea And Vomiting Normal?
Husband 72 y o non smoker non drinker w history of CABG w aortic dissection repair 3.5 yrs ago. Became very weak lately esp yesterday, w nausea and one vomiting episode yesterday. Ate nothing all day, nor today. Drank small amt of warmed purified water this am 3.5 oz maybe, then had dry heaves so resisted further liquids for hours. Later kept down 8 oz water w grape juice. Now his oxygen measures 92 but his PULSE IS ONLY 44 TO 47 and he hasnt taken his bp meds this am NOR HIS BETABLOCKER metoprolol 12.5 am and 12.5 pm. IS THIS SLOW HEART RATE OKAY?

You need to notify his cardiologist immediately. This is concerning. He needs to be seen by a doctor today to be evaluated. If he can not get in to see his cardiologist then he needs to see his primary care doctor.
