Is Skinlite Cream Effective For Long Term Use?

hi,doctor,i used skinlite cream past one month,my skin look bit fairer it gives good result can icontinue this cream because my skin have darkspots,pigmentation and also finelines,is it helpful for longterm or not?please suggest me. and my skin have another problem is when i used this cream my skin have also whitespots around the cheek.is a skinlite cream effect otherwiseskin problem.please suggest me doctor.what can i do. thank you.

Skinlite cream is a triple drug combination and contains a potent steroid+tretinoin+hydroquinone. Dermatologists use this combination for melasma.

This combination should always be used under the supervision of a dermatologist. Even then it should not be used for more than 2-3 months at a stretch because it can cause side effects of steroid abuse such as acne, photosensitivity, skin thinning and telangiectasia, facial hair growth(specially troublesome in females) and skin whitening(as is happening in your case) etc. This side effect can be detected at an early stage by a dermatologist

It should not be used as a regular use fairness cream.

You could use a broad spectrum sunscreen, that which offers both UVA and UVB protection, throughout the day. Neutrogena dry touch ultrasheer sunscreen is an OTC sunscreen marketed by johnsons and johnsons in india.

A cream containing kojic acid, glycolic acid, arbutin, hdroquinone etc are also skin lightening creams and are safer for long term use rather than the triple drug combination e.g skinlite cream.
