Is Shortness Of Breath Normal After Missing A Dose Of Levothyroxine?

Hi, I take levothyroxine 100mcg every morning but missed taking it today, and I have felt off all day. Spacey, short of breath, slight headache, just not myself. Is this normal and is there any food or drink that would help counteract my feeling off?

Hi There! You need to take your medication every am on an empty stomach and not eat anything for 20-30 minutes. This is a relatively high dose so I am not surprised you feel "off"

There is no miracle to treating this without your medication. You can keep from doing more harm by avoiding goitrogens such as cabbage or broccoli and avoiding soy products.

You might want to stop in somewhere convenient and get your blood pressure checked and call your doctor if your symptoms are not corrected after you take your next dose.
