Hello,

Most of the ganglion cysts do not cause pain but if it pushes on a nerve, it can cause pain or make some movements difficult.

So as your surgery is a week away you should take an OTC NSAID such as Ibuprofen for pain relief.

You should also make it sure your right hand has minimum movement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
