Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband developed a rather severe case of jock itch and used anti-fungal/bacterial cream to fight it. That worked. However, my husband has been drinking alcohol more, and I wonder if this jock itch could have been caused by that (like psoriasis)
It is not related to alcohol. As a first line management you can apply topical anti-fungals like Clotrimazole for symptomatic relief. If lesion persists better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing you all the best. Thank you.
Regards,
