Is Severe Itching In And Around The Anus A Sign Of STD?

I ve had severe itching just inside and around the anus which is worse at night. I can t see any signs of piles and have no other symptoms. I have had this now for around 6 months, after having one off anal sex. I don t know if the two are related and am too embarrassed to go and see my gp. Could yhis be a sign of an std? I m a 35 year old female.

Yes, there are chances of STD if the anal sex was not protected one- use of condom. And of course , if the partner was carrying some infection.

I will suggest use of VD kit- containing Azithromycin 1 gm, Fluconazole 150 mg and Secnidazole 2 gm. Also use of CLOBEN G ointment locally will be of help.

I will suggest to get proper sex counselling done. Safe and protected sex will help to avoid STDs and unwanted pregnancy.

it is possible there is STD, you should be tested for by a gynecologist. you should be examined as well to determine any lesion and skin changes around anal area before i can suggest any treatment.
