Is Severe Cough A Symptom Of TB?

I had my xray done 2 days ago. The doctor requested me to take another xray but this time, i should have it on Apico-lordotic view. She didnt tell me other information when I asked her about the result of the xray. She just said that it could be a problem with my breathing or the xray itself. I am anxious that I have TB or what. I dont have any vices. Most of the time, I just stay at home. I am asymptomatic. I do have cough and colds but i think it s more of allergy than TB. should I be worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Thank you for posting in HCM.
Pulmonary Tuberculosis can be suspected in patients with chronic cough (more than 3 weeks), history of evening rise of fever, night sweats, weight loss and anorexia (loss of appetite), postive history of a contact with Tb patient.
As you mention you are asymptomatic and you have not stated any of the symptoms written above, you most probably do not have tuberculosis.
However your Complete blood picture and ESR may help in further evaluation if you have any of the above mentioned symptoms.
Wish you good health.
