Is Resting Pulse Of 115 A Cause For Concern?

Hello Doctor my wife is experiencing high resting pulse of about 115. her blood pressure is about 146 over 81. she is 35 years old weighs 200 lbs. and is 5 foot 4 inches tall, and she is worried something wrong with her. She takes a prescription medication to lower her blood pressure.

Resting heart rate over 100 beats per minute is Known as tachycardia which is not normal & is pathological condition.
There are many more causes of tachycardia
1. Fever
2. Use of drugs like cocaine, caffeine, Nicotine etc
3.Metabolic condition like Hyperthyroidism,Anemia,Hyperventilation etc
4. Heart problems like Sinus tachycardia, Atrial fibrillation,Ventricular Fibrillation & many more

Visit a physician, he would diagnose and treat accordingly.
