Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my granddaughter is 14 months old and has had a reoccurring rash for the past 4 to 5 months. What would cause her to have a rash for so long? it gets better and then gets worse again. She has been to the doctor and has had very little help and several different probable causes. This rash is little itchy bumps mostly under her arms, on feet and hands and stomach area. There is always one big red bump that is larger than the rest of the rash in her armpit. I am so worried about her. She is now on an antihistamine that helps but no blood work or antibiotics have been given to her. please help. I read that a reoccurring rash could be a sign of leukemia should I be concerned? What test would a doctor run to find this out? Please help this has gone one to long and I feel that since my granddaughter is on medicaid that she is not getting the proper care that she needs. So far we have been told that she has scabbies, rosieolla, and a childhood rash that she will grown out of. I feel so helpless and feel that the doctors are not being aggressive enough with this matter.
she does not need antibiotic. it is not sign of leukemia. most probably she is sensitive to some food cosmatic pet in house pollen inair. better to go for allergy test and try to know the allergen. once you know then have toavoid suchthings. till suchtime she can be given antihistaminic tablet and antihistaminic lotion. donot feel helpless you canwait for resultof investigation.doctors need not be agrasive but treat in coolmind and with confidence.
