Is Recurrence Of Sebaceous Cyst Possible Post Surgery?
hello gud pm my grandchild diagnose with sebaceous cysts it was located on his face, the doctor recommended surgery may be with in this year he told me it is 1.5cm in size he also told that that is not cancerous. I am worry so want that cyst remove in an early possible time. What I want to know if is to be removed is there a possibility for the recurrence of the cyst.
Hi, Nothing to worry, it seems to be simple sebaceous cyst. It should be excised with complete removal of sac. Any time you can go for removal, it is simple procedure. While excising the cyst if some part of sac remained there and not removed completely then there is risk of recurrence is there. Ok and take care.
