Is Re-piecing On Ears After Removal Of Keloids Safe?

i am 26years old, 45kg. i had keloids(pea sized) at the back of both my earlobes after piercing my ears 3years ago. i got them surgically removed last year(January) and went for routine kenalog injections thereafter. they have not grown back since i stopped the kenalog. can i get my ears repierced now and go for kenalog injections for three or so months as soon as i repierce them? will that minimise the chances of the keloids coming back?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

As an ENT specialist, I suggest you not to do piercing of ears as once you have a keloid, there is a high chance to get them next time. Still, if you want to do please visit your doctor and take advice from him, and get piercings only from the doctor only.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Naidu N Lalitha Lavanya
