Is Radiation Neccessary Even After Surgeon Confirms Tumor Is Removed Completely?

I recently had cancerous tumour removed from tongue, my surgeon told me the pathologist report stated all lymph glands were clear and I did not have cancer. The radiologist is recommending radiation. My surgeon and a M.D. Doctor said no further care is needed. How do I tell the radiologist I do not want radiation.

dear patient .after succesful sugery removal of tongue tumor and the pathology report saying clear lymph nodes,it means your tumor was local and didnt spread.May be the radiologist has some doubts that there is a possibility of recurrence of this type of tumor in future. To prevent such chances of recurrence thats why your radiologist told you so to undergo radiation.I recommend you to consult another oncosurgeon for reconfirmation. He can give the correct treatment plan.Rest assured you need to relax and take care of yourself.
