Is Pulse Rate Of 98 Bpm A Cause For Concern?

Hi, My name is Robert, I m 68 y.o. being treated by the VA for Hi BP and pre-diabetic, I test my blood sugar regularly. Also. take my blood pressure. Lately my pulse rate is up. Tonight was 98. is there a concern? I take Metformin 500Mg 2x p/day, Potasium Chloride 10 Mg 2x p/day, Amlodipine 10 Mg 1x p/day, and Triamterene 75 Mg 1x p/day. Thanks for your evaluation Robert

Hello Robert,
Normal pulse is 60 to 100. However if yours is usually much lower that 98 it may be abnormal for you. Check it for several days and then call your doctor's office and let them decide if you need to be seen right away.
