Hi,
The answer depends mostly on which type of paint you’re using. Generally speaking, latex paints are fairly non-toxic.
Solvent-based paints can be more irritating than latex or oil-based paints on the skin or if swallowed. But the biggest concern is with inhaling the fumes into the lungs.
Breathing solvent paint fumes for too long can cause
headaches,
dizziness, and nausea. This can happen in a poorly ventilated space or when large areas are being painted or stained.
Reaction to inhaled paint fumes causes reversible hepatic,
bone marrow and nervous toxicity.
I suggest you should get your liver function, kidney function, dipstick
urinalysis and full blood count done.
A person with paint thinner
poisoning may become short of breath, or even appear blue around the lips and extremities. Anyone suspected to have this poisoning should get emergency hospital care.
If you have mild symptoms like headaches, dizziness, and nausea it will go within 3-4 days without treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
