Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
During recruitment of Central Armed Police Force medical examination, I have clinically examined by Lab technician, wherein RBC in urine (7-8 cells/HPF) is found and advised for Review Medical Examination. Whether, this observation in urine is a major ailments and worried for patient? what medicine is prescribed for this disease to reduce the 7-8 cell/HPF to normal condition?
Suggestive of hematuria. Presence of red blood cells in the urine could be due stones in the kidney, ureter or urinary bladder. It may also occur due to diseases of the kidney, urinary bladder, urethra, prostate gland, and vigorous exercise.
You need to be properly evaluated by your doctor to rule out those diseases listed above by relevant tests such as an ultrasound or CT scan.
Once the cause is determined it can be treated effectively to reduce the number of RBCs in the urine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
