General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The bleeding may be caused by the emergency contraception you took. Emergency pills are highly effective when taken within 72 hours so you don't have to worry about pregnancy. The bleeding will stop soon. You can think about using an everyday contraception method.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
