Hello,

Any delay of the periods warrants a urinary pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. If the urinary pregnancy test comes out negative then it is unlikely you are pregnant and probably the stress related to the new changes in your life may be the cause of this delay in your periods.

Please be aware that the withdrawal method is not a highly effective method of contraception. Around 30% or women that use this method for a year get pregnant.

If the pregnancy test comes out negative, I would recommend you to talk with your doctor about the possible contraceptive methods and which would be the most appropriate in your case. Condoms used regularly or oral contraceptive pills may be considered.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
