Is Pregnancy Possible In Women With Blocked Tubes?

Hi My name is anjali.i m 25 year old. I have prossed iui in asian hospital. My both tube are blocked But after laproscopy right tube open and left tube still blocked. After one year procedure in asian hospital, i have done iui last month. But no result. I visit another doctor she was told me that i think tuberculosis in ur utrus. Ur motos tast positive. Utrus is very bad condition. Utrus pasted Together. Doctor said that ur position is not good. So i cant say anything about ur prgnancy. I m feel very helpless. So my qustion is 1.pregnancy possible or not. 2.if possible normal or ivf 3 what chance to improve pregnacy...

Hi,

Tuberculosis is a great possibility when in India as a cause of sterility. Uterine curettage and biopsy may be confirmatory for tuberculosis. Simply Mantoux tests alone positive has no value. TB gold test and others like raised lymphocytes, ESR add on the suspicion.

Once it is diagnosed to be tuberculosis, the results are promising if properly treated under the care of a proper TB Specialist can help you the best. Take proper treatment for 6 to 9 months with monthly follow up. Repeat the tests for tubal patency. Have nutritious high protein diet with multivitamins and mineral. Avoid pregnancy for a year.

Hence to answer your queries:
1) Pregnancy is possible after proper treatment
2) Normal pregnancy is possible, if not then other modalities are always possible
3) There are big chances of pregnancy due to better understanding of diseases, better treatment and investigations along with assistance
