Hi,

You did not mention when was emergency contraceptive pill given to her.

As per your query initially you did not use condom but continued to have sex but could not ejaculate but later on your were condom is it not?

This amounts to an 'unprotected sex'. The fact the before using condom the pre-ejaculatory fluid does contain sufficient number of active and motile sperms capable of of fertilizing the egg and thus pregnancy can occur.

If taken within 72 hours following an unprotected sex you've had the emergency contraceptive pill can reduce the risk of pregnancy by up to 89%.

If taken within 24 hours, the pill is about 95% effective in preventing an unwanted pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
