Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Morning After Pill?

hi! i had an unprotected sex twice on June 12 @ 3am and 9am. then I took a morning after pill the same day around 2pm. I got my period after 12 days (3 days period - heavy on my 2nd day). after my 3 days period, just to make sure I took a pregnancy test. my first test was negative so I was relieved. then because I still have one pregnancy test left I just decided to use it. and the result was I think it Los positive because there s a light second line. so I freaked out. so the next day I bought another pregnancy test and used both and it came negative on both. my body feel a little strange it s like I m gaining weight. is t possible that I m pregnant or its just in my mind and I m stressing a lot about it?

Hello,

Emergency contraceptive makes it much less likely that you will get pregnant if taken within 72 hrs of unprotected sex. How much it reduces your chances of getting pregnant depends on how quickly you take it after unprotected intercourse.

As you took your pill just after 11 hours, it is very less likely that you will get pregnant especially as you had period after 12 days and it is also true that the final pregnancy test was negative. So please don't panic. If you're not sure, it's a good idea to wait at least 3 weeks after you think you may have conceived before doing a test.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
