Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Postinor 2 After Intercourse?

Hello Doctor, I had sex on my ovulation days but he didn t ejacute in me but I still took postinor 2 like 1 hour later and now having lower abdominal pain and slso little sticky and milkish discharge , what are the chances of pregnancy and also can his precum cause pregnancy?

Hi, thanks for your question. I have read your question and understand your concern.

Answer: Postinor-2 when taken within 24 hours of unprotected intercourse can prevent 95% of unexpected pregnancies. On the other hand, there is a very slim chance for the sperms to be released in the precum fluid that is leaking inside the vagina prior to ejaculation which can lead to pregnancy.
So, I would say that there is a very good chance that you are protected against conception, however, I would still recommend that you go for a pregnancy test after seven days because there is still a very tiny risk despite Prostinor-2 and withdrawl.
