Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I had sex in March for the first time and I used protection and we used the pull out method with protection , there were no rips in the condoms , but I was scared so I took plan b , since then I ve got my periods but this month in June it s late . Could it be because of the plan b pill messing with my cycle ?
Based on the history you have shared, it's very less likely for you to get pregnant with the precautions you are taking. Though plan B has its individual failure rates but combined with barrier method and pulling out it's virtually almost impossible to get pregnant.
The periods abnormalities can be due to hormonal imbalance caused by plan B tablets and will settle after a cycle or two if none is used in between.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
