Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Being On Althea?
Hi. Was taking Yaz before then I decided to switch to Althea, I didn t finish my white pills (placebo) then switch to Althea right away. My husband and I got contact 2days after taking Althea, I m on my 1st week on Althea. Am I safe? By the way, my period hasnt come yet. Thanks.

Althea is a combined oral contraceptive pill. When patients initiate this method, they are not protected from pregnancy in the first seven days, and an additional form of birth control is recommended. So, in the first seven days, you need to have another method of contraception like wearing a condom by male. You may take a home pregnancy test if you are doubtful about being pregnant.
