Is Pregnancy Possible After Undergoing An Abortion?
i had an abortion on the 26/09/2016 nd didnt started bleeding on dat day until the fourth day which was thursday with cramps and it was a heavy one bt becoming lighter till yesterday 10/10/2016 nd i did a pregnancy test and it was still positive. wat could be d cause? was d abortion not successful? reply me on my mail YYYY@YYYY
Urine pregnancy test remains positive for a few days, even after successful abortion. It may remain positive up to 2 weeks after the abortion, but still, we advise to wait for 4 weeks.
Abortion is considered only unsuccessful if test remains positive even after 4 weeks.
So you should wait, and repeat the test after 2 weeks to be sure about the success of the abortion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
