Is Polyps Curable With Aspirin And Calcium Medications?

I just had a colonoscopy and had some polyps removed. My doctor suggest that I take a baby aspirin a day and increase my calcium intake.I m 80 years old, never had polyps before last year. This is my second colonoscopy in twelve months and he wants to do another one in 18 months. Do you think that the aspirin and calcium would help?Thank you for your answer.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of colonoscopy, has some polyps removed, Doctor suggested for baby Aspirin and Calcium and that you are 80 years old.
You never has polyps in past and your Doctor wants to have your next colonoscopy in another 12 months and then 18 months.
I do not think that baby aspirin or calcium will help you in any way for polyposis.
I think he must have thought of your age of 80 and hence asked for supplements and aspirin to avoid heart related problems. Please take and continue and have regular follow up , let us see what the biopsy reports is going to be of the excised polyps.
