Is Physical Therapy Safe Post A Carpal Tunnel Surgery?

Hi, I had carpal tunnel release surgery about 6 weeks ago and am wondering about physical therapy or what I can do to make sure I get full use of my hand after healing. Also I ve heard that cartilage can build up at the incision site. Can I do something to prevent that? Thank you, Rona

Hello,

You can continue physiotherapy to regain complete range of movements.
Generally the recovery will be good and if you feel restricted movements, Consult your orthopaedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
