Is Persistent Fatigue And Hunger A Cause For Concern?

Hi I was wondering if I should go to the doctors office because I ve been noticing a change in me. First thing is that I m always very tired. I don t really get that hungry. My Grandmom pointed out to me that I look pale. She then looked at my lower inside eyelid and say it was not pink but white. She thinks I m anemic. I m only 16 years old

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Looking pale is one of the means to suspect anaemia. This condition is commonly caused due to iron deficiency. This can cause symptoms like excessive tiredness.
Kindly get you blood checked up for Complete Blood Count (CBC) with peripheral smear examination.
Kindly consult Physician with the report for clinical examination and management.
You need not sorry about it if you are anaemic, as it can be treated with medications and dietary supplentation of iron and vitamins.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
