Is Performing Plastic Surgery On Nose Twice Advisable?

I had a poorly performed plastic nose surgery 10 years ago. I did not look my correct ethnicity after the surgery. My nose was upturned and pig like. I had a revision but I am not happy with the result to this day. I also broke my nose after the revision in an assault. My nose is crooked, I cannot breathe properly, and I hate my nasal appearance. I feel emasculated as my nose is not Indian or ethnic. Am I a good candidate for more nose surgery or is this BDD? I also have pain in my septum and have suffered from 10 years of anger, depression, and self loathing due to my appearance. I feel I look abnormal and have rage towards the surgeon as I believe he was unqualified and ignorant hence the damage and suffering. Please reply promptly and with as much detail. Thanks for the response.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, I understand your concern. The nasal cosmetic surgeries called as Rhinoplasty. It is mainly done for functional and in few cases cosmetic. The pre operative evaluation should include proper counselling because any millimeter change in nose also well observed by the individual and close observers. It requires very good patient compliance too. People doing surgery in some city and not going for Dr's review also one of the bad fact in Rhinoplasty outcome. Any over corrections or under corrections will make observable changes or abnormal looks.
In your case post rhinoplasty period is unpleasant as you said and moreover you got hurt and broken the septum again. Definitely you need a revision because of functionality of the nose and nasal cavity has to be reversed. You should accept whatever possible appearance with near 100% nasal patency. because revision Sx whatever available original structures will be preserved to give good look to the Nose.
So, go for counselling, understand the possibilities, accept and go ahead for revision with the surgeon you fixed, have good patient compliance. Follow proper post op care.
Wish you all the best. Take care.
