Is Painful Urination, Blood In Urine, And Frothy Urine A Sign Of Pregnancy?
Hello. I was wondering what you thought this could be. I had protected/unprotected sex with my boyfriend within the past 2 1/2 weeks. He has been checked in the past year and is clean. Within the past day I've had major pains while urinating and urinating very often with a little blood. just enough to make the toilet paper light pink. Urine is rather clear but a bit frothy. My period is suppose to be here about now but I'm very irregular. I think this is only a urinary track infection but could this be a sign of pregnancy?
You are right, this indicates urinary tract infection and does not sound like pregnancy. It is quite common that after an intercourse infection appears. It can be caused by several reasons like dirty hands, bacteria in the vagina or on the penis which are mechanically inserted into urethra. I suggest you to have urine analysis and antibiotic if necessary. To prevent such infection in the future please try to urinate after an intercourse. You may also start cranberries supplementation and increase mineral water intake.
Hope this will help. Regards.
