Is Pain Under The Breast Bone A Symptom Of Hiatal Hernia?

It only occurs when I have a bad coughing spell, I get a bulging something right underneath my breast bone, very painful & cannot move until it reduces back. Its like my muscles are cramping in that one place. If I can lean back & stretch my arm up I can push whatever it is back in to place with my other arm. Is this a hiatal hernia?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Yes pain under breast bone can be a symptom of hiatal hernia. A consultation with gastroenterologist and endoscopic examination will be helpful to rule out the condition. Taking proton pump inhibitors like Esomeprazole and motility enhancers like levosulpiride will be helpful. If there is no improvement you should consult a surgeon to think about surgical management.
Thanks.
