Is Pain In Mouth Due To Quitting Of Tobacco?

I have been consistently using chewing tobacco for 7 years. I recently quit approximately 6 days ago. Very recently I started to get pains in in my mouth where my wisdom teeth are (never had them pulled). As of yesterday, the pain started radiating to the front of my mouth. Is this a symptom of quitting tobacco or possibly related to my wisdom teeth?

thanks for your query, the pain in your mouth could be because of the infection in the wisdom tooth which may radiate to other sites like cheek ear and temporal region. consult your oral physician and get a radiograph done in relation to that tooth to rule out any pathology, you can take a course of antibiotics after consulting the physician. pain is not related to the tobacco chewing habit but you need to consult oral physician for any lesions associated with tobacco chewing. i hope my answer will help you, take care.
