Is Pain In Chest With History Of Stomach Valve Surgery A Cause For Concern?

Hello. I've been experiencing chest pain since yesterday afternoon. My hearbeat is normal, no fever. I have no shortness of breath but I've had a cold with dry cough for about 10 days now. It feels a lot like a piece of food is caught in my esophagus, though I can eat and drink normally. Each time I rolled onto my side while sleeping the discomfort woke me for a few minutes. I doubt very much that I'm having any kind of heart attack, but I don't know what they feel like and if I should do my 'wait-and-see' approach? (Side note, a couple of years ago I had surgery to correct the valve that keeps stomach acid in the stomach - and I wonder if something has happened there?)
