Is Pain In Chest On Coughing And Breathing A Symptom Pf Pleurisy?

3 months ago I was diagnosed with severe bronchitis. After 3 rounds of antibiotics, steroid shots, steroid inhanlers, I finally started feeling better. However, my chest on my left side has a lot of pain when I breathe in, sneeze, cough, blow my nose, etc. Could this be pleurisy? Suggestions?

Hi
Hope this message finds you in good health.
I have gone through your complaints and understand your concern.
I generally see many cases like this at my clinic.
and have found out that pleurisy is the most common cause of such symptoms.

there are many other reasons for having such symptoms like costochondritis or neuritis pain.

but if u have been suffering from bronchitis earlier ,due to coughing episodes, the pleura gets inflammed and even after the bronchitis is healed, pleurisy persists.

anti-inflammatory drugs should help.

a rib belt, hot fomentation, steam inhalation should be soothing.

pleurisy generally takes quiet a time to heal but it will eventually go away.Nothing to worry about.
I hope your question has been answered.
