Hi, I am experiencing pain in my left buttocks and also in my abdomen mostly on right side. It is not chronic and does not hurt if I am sitting still. The pain in my left buttocks has -+subsided and the front right abdomen pain still exists. I am 65 years old and never had my appendix removed. Could this be appendicitis?
In appendix, one would have right lower quadrant pain (right illiac Foss),nausea, vomiting and occasionally fever.
Appendicular pain hardly radiates to the back side like buttocks but some tomes it may be felt over left side abdomen after applying pressure to the right illiac fossa.
Clinically, your pain doesn't seem to be arises from acute appendicitis but one can say surely only after clinical examination of abdomen or ultrasound abdomen.
