Is Pain And Swelling Despite Knee Scopes Due To PVNS In Knee?

I think my son may have PVNS in his left knee. He has had repeated knee scopes and still has considerable pain and swelling. We are looking for a doctor in Texas (we are located in Central Texas) who treats this condition. He has also thought that he may have some issue with the senovial (?) membrane in his knee. We have been to numersous doctors and no one can give us any answers. Thanks!

I have seen so many cases with same history as your son. Pvns is not a common disease and if your son has gone through multiple scopes than he would have been diagnosed till now. Joint fluid in Pvns is red colour like blood due to iron. Repeated swelling in knee can be rheumatoid. If your son would be my patient I wd recommend him synovectomy and anti rheumatoid treatment.
